Achievements

Impact on Young Families

We started servicing 4 teen moms with 4 volunteers. We've touched over 60. Today we have over 22 participants and over 60 volunteers. The impact we are having on the lives of these young families is why we exist.

Just recently, we partnered with a non profit organization to help a participant get safe and reliable transportation and help another participant get mechanical assistance for their vehicle.

We also worked with a participant, partnering with The Anchor Initiative Program and STATS to set in place a 6-12 month residential treatment plan.

Making a Difference

The difference we are making in many of their lives is significant.

Samara's Village helped one mom to finish high school and be prepared to deliver and raise a baby; “without Samara's Village I'd be lost”

A Graduate

And one of our first participants, who we’ve been working with for over three years is graduating from our program and as part of the closure, we’ve provided contact information for Head Start, Smart Start, Kaliedoscope and Community in Schools.

Individual Participant Successes

Samara's Village is recognized by the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as Children’s Protective Services, and the court as an accredited parenting program, making regular referrals
A blended monthly meeting for Motherhood Home Visitors and Fatherhood Mentors provided participation in continuing education through inviting outside community agencies to educate about their organizations and services. This led to an increase in highly productive and beneficial collaborative efforts for our participants
Solid teams have been created to help with the organization of SV - Administrative, Resource Center and Volunteer Teams
Samara's Village - completed 2 successful strategic planning sessions
Thanksgiving Meals, organized by a SV board member, were provided to many SV families
Angel Tree - all gifts were purchased , wrapped, and delivered to the babies of SV
A new CRM - Apricot 360 & Nonprofit For Good will be providing better data and reports
